Sony Pictures Entertainment India Pvt. Ltd.’s Major, based on writer Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s life, has released a new musical track from the film featuring the romantic chemistry between the film’s leads, Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar. The full Hindi version of the song is set to release soon.
Superstar Mahesh Babu and Dulquer Salmaan have composed the Telugu and Malayalam versions of the song, respectively.
This lyrical song is titled Hrudayama and Pon Malare in Telugu and Malayalam respectively. It unfolds the journey of Sandeep Unnikrishnan and his love interest from their high school days to their wedding.
Major’s first song unfolds the chemistry between Saiee Manjrekar and Adivi Sesh as they playfully recall their days in school, when they dressed up for costume parties, looked forward to one another’s calls and meetups, wrote love letters to each other – all of which reflects the innocence of a young romance.
The song ends with Sandeep Unnikrishnan (Portrayed by Adivi Sesh) leaving for his duty in a bus, and Saiee Manjrekar (portrayed by Saiee Manjrekar), who is his love interest, running behind the bus as she clings on to him.
Sricharan Palakur’s music accompanies the romance between Saiee Manjrekar and Adivi Sesh in the Telugu version of the song, which is written by V N V Ramesh Kumar and Krishna Kanth and sung by Sid Sriram. The Malayalam version of the song, which is written and sung by Ayraan, is composed by Sam Mathew AD.
The first song of the film looks at Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s love story. Andi Sesh is played by Adivi Sesh, who says of it: “The teaser of the film has touched on different aspects of Sandeep’s life—from childhood to army days—but not much was said about his romantic life. The first song delves into that pure and innocent romance that warms your heart and soul with its peaceful and calm aura, set in the 90s.”
Mounted on a large scale, Major is a character-driven epic drama that traces the early childhood and teenage romance of Sandeep Unnikrishnan (Akshay Kumar), who later becomes a soldier in the Indian Army. Major shows his glorious years fighting for India, culminating in his sacrifices during the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film pays tribute to Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan’s life.
Sashi Kiran Tikka’s romantic comedy starring Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar, Prakash Raj, Revathi, and Murali Sharma is set to be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam.
Major is an upcoming Indian film, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S Movies. It will be released worldwide on February 11, 2022.
